Berry Oatmeal

I have oatmeal for breakfast almost every day. This is my go-to recipe because it’s quick and easy; no cutting or preparation required.

Ingredients:img_1377

  • 1/2-1/3 cup rolled oats
  • Handful of berries – about 1/2 cup (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, etc.)
  • 1 tsp

Optional Additions (and my preference):

  • Sugar to taste
  • 1/2 tsp ground flax seed

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and microwave for 2 minutes (cinnamon and sugar can be added before or after cooking oats).
  • Stir, then microwave for an additional 1-2 minutes.

The range for each is 1/3 cup versus 1/2 cup.
